Music To My Hair Salon Styling Tip: Polished But Easy To Achieve

Salon Styling Tip: Polished, but easy to achieve.

Quick, you slept in and you have five minutes to make your hair look presentable for work this morning. What do you do?

What’s easier or faster than a pony tail? The key to polishing this simple look is concealing the hair band!

The Basics – Gather your hair into a ponytail and secure with an elastic band. Take a strand from the ponytail and wrap it around the hair elastic. Simply secure the hair with a bobby/hair pin at the base of the ponytail and you’re done!

Pro Tip –  Any round elastic you have lying around the house is fine, but we suggest picking up a flat elastic to keep the wrapped hair from bulging and allowing it to look even and sleek.

Bonus Tip – The size of the wrapped section of hair shouldn’t be too big as it could take away from the thickness of the pony tail. If you take much more than a half-inch section from the underside of the ponytail, you could remove volume from the tail. If you have fine hair, just tease the underside before wrapping it completely around the pony tail to keep it from slipping away.

It’s a perfect look for any event, whether you’re spending the day at the office or going out for the night with your girls. Plus, you can make the pony tail messy-chic, sleek, or curly – whatever you’re feeling!
