Fall 2016 Hair Color Trends

You may be thinking to yourself, we’re looking into fall trends already? But believe it or not, September is only six weeks away and it’s always a good idea to be prepared for your next color appointment.

The ‘bronde’ trend isn’t exactly a new one, but the color is a gorgeous way to transition from bright summer highlights into the subtler warm tones of autumn. Stars like Karlie Kloss, Constance Jablonski, and Olivia Palmero have all been seen sporting this quintessential look as of late.

It can’t be denied that there is something stunning about jet black hair.

It’s enchanting, moody, and perfect for the fall and winter season.

Single-process dark hues are popping up all over models and celebrities like Joan Smalls, Rihanna, Adriana Lima, and Jennifer Hudson.

Tell us what you think, do you dare to go dark?

Most women are probably used to cringing at the sight of their overgrown dark roots, especially blondes.

But guess what?

It’s time to embrace this previously taboo style!

The care-free, just rolled-out-of-bed/I woke up like this look is gaining traction in the fashion industry and therefore also out there in the real world.

This means you can officially delay your next color appointment by an extra few weeks! Which only mean amazing things for your wallet, plus you’ll look edgy and fashionable without even trying!

Follow the lead of these gorgeous ladies who have been playing with this look lately: Hailee Baldwin, Michelle Williams, Miley Cyrus, and Kristen Stewart.

If you’ve been feeling like your dark hair needs a little something extra, look no further than the marvelous wonders of honey kissed highlights!

It’s perfect for those with natural waves since it adds texture and dimension, while simultaneously warming up your complexion.

This stunning color has been rocked by many beautiful women including J.Lo, Kate Beckinsale, and Ciara.

Tell us, which look is your favorite? Would you try any of these trending colors out for the fall season?

The team at Music To My Hair can transform your hair, making you feel like a fresh version of yourself.

There’s truly nothing that makes you feel better than walking out of the salon with a new color that enhances your features and brightens your spirits with a new found confidence.

How To Do A Fishtail Braid

Have you always wanted to try the ethereal fishtail braid for yourself? Here’s how in FOUR EASY STEPS.

Although this braid might look intimidating at first, it’s not too difficult to achieve once you get the hang of the motions. Plus, other than a hair tie, there are no tools or products necessary to recreate this look. It’s time to unleash your inner hair stylist – follow the steps below and you’ll have a perfectly messy & beautiful hair style.

Fishtail Braid Chic

Separate your hair into two sections. Unlike your typical braid, a fishtail braid only requires your hair to be parted in two.

Using your fingers, separate a small section of your hair from the outer edge of the first section and cross it over the second section – this should overlap the same way you would do it if you were doing a standard braid. Get a good grip on the hair and tighten the plait, still keeping the two sections separate. How To Do A Fishtail Braid

Continue to overlap small pieces from each section until you reach the ends. Try to keep the pieces that you’re overlapping with the same size for a consistent looking finished braid – you generally want to keep the sections to a half-inch.

Bonus Tip: You can make the sections larger for a bigger looking braid – this is especially great for messy braids (as pictured above).

Once you’ve reached the ends of your hair, secure the braid with an elastic. Finish the look by gently tugging at the outside pieces of the braid with your fingers to loosen it for that effortless appearance.

Of course if you’re a beginner and new to braiding or you learn better by watching rather than reading, definitely utilize Youtube for some easy to follow hair tutorials.
