If the men in your life are anything like ours, then you know that they’re often in desperate need of a hair cut, but simply don’t know what to get.
Sure, these are male models – but why can’t your man look just as polished as they do?
Well, we’re here to tell you that they can & will with the help of Music To My Hair and our team of super-star hair artists.
We’re breaking down our favorite mens hair cuts as of late.
Plus, to make it easy, he can just show the photo of the cut he likes best to his hair stylist. Voila! Easy.
This hair cut really is so customizable.
Whether you prefer your hair to have some rugged volume, crazy texture, or look clean cut & straight – you can make it work with the angular fringe cut.
Not only does this hair style create interesting lines and dimension, but it also accentuates bone structure.
THE PART & POMPADOUR BLEND
The hard side part & the pompadour are two hair styles that have become pretty popular over the last few years.
Our thoughts: Why not mix the two?
The best part is that the majority of this look is in the styling.
So let’s say you’re not in the mood to fuss with styling. Simply sweep your hair to the side and add a little product for hold or let it fall tousled onto your forehead.
The trick is, regardless of how you decide to wear your hair, the side part is just enough to make it look like you put some effort in (even if you didn’t!)
SOME CAESAR ON THE SIDE, PLEASE!
Maybe you never want to worry about styling your hair? Then this next look might be right for you.
Let us clue you in on a little secret… as long as you have a quality cut, your hair can look pretty perfect with little to no maintenance (especially for those of you who opt for a shorter style!)
We’re feeling this faded style lately. Leaving just enough at the top gives the look a quintessentially roman feel. Thus effectively leaving the subtle impression that you’re an all-powerful warrior on everyone around you.
Who wouldn’t want that?
LONG & UNRULY
Last, but certainly not least, those of you with curly hair probably have some difficulty picking a style that is simultaneously edgy and suitable for your hair texture.
Try going with something a little longer at the top with a clean, but slight taper towards your ears & neck.
Not only does this cut look incredible on curly/wavy hair, but it’s also pretty easy to maintain at home!
It’s 2016, but 90’s trends have never been cooler. Everything from chokers, baggy clothing, and space buns have been slowly coming back into the fashion scene for the last year. Our favorite of these trends is the super model hair of the 90’s- think Cindy Crawford.
The style we’re going for today is this messy side part that gives a gorgeous beach goddess effect. If you’re like me, you probably flip your hair 100 times throughout the day without even realizing it. This style truly is one of the most flattering and effortless looks that you can achieve.
The deep-part hair flip gives a sexy, but laid back vibe for the modern-retro girl.
RIDE THE WAVE
If you’re blessed with fresh out of the shower beach waves, then this step is pretty effortless for you. For anyone with straight or super curly hair, this will require a little more work, but it’s so worth it!
ONE: Avoid stripping your hair of it’s natural oils by keeping your washes to a minimum! Try extending your washes to every 2-3 days and use dry shampoo to prevent excess build up of oils – plus, it’ll give you a fresh boost of volume for the day. When you do wash, opt for a formula that will boost your natural volume and give you some extra body. We suggest the Brazilian Blowout Volume Shampoo & Conditioner for a formulation that adds dimension to your locks without weighing them down.
Beach Sea Salt or Texturizing sprays are perfect for getting that undone look. Simply apply to your hair when wet and scrunch in with your fingers from the ends of your hair all the way up towards your roots. We adore the Davines Sea Salt Spray or the Living Proof Instant Texture Mist – they both add a voluminous beachy look, without making your hair crunchy.
For those of you who have straight hair, spray your wave-enhancing product and flip your head up-side down. Begin blow drying your hair at the roots using a low speed and medium heat. Be sure not to brush your hair through, this could unintentionally straighten your locks! Curly haired babes can restructure their hair into beachy waves with a 1 inch curling clipless curling iron or rock their curls.
Choosing your part all depends on your preference! A secret styling tip is to start by flipping your hair on the opposite side that it naturally falls to give it some natural lift at your roots. Then throughout the day feel free to flip it to the other side to keep the hairs volume lasting throughout the day. Flipping it to the other side mid-day keeps the style looking it’s best and gives the volume a fresh feel.
Bonus Tip: If you have a wider face with strong cheekbones, use the end of your eye to determine the depth of the part. For a smaller face, use the middle of the eye as your guide.
MAKE IT LAST
As we briefly mentioned before, utilizing the effects of dry shampoo will keep your hair looking fresh for a few days. Dry shampoo gives hair some extra grip and added texture, while separating the strands from one another.
When spraying into the hair shaft, make sure to tousle your hair with your fingers and gently scrunch the hair to work the product in and blend any powdery residue that may be left over.
